"Other Talents"

The January program is going to feature Country Patchwork Quilt Guild Members!!!  Yes, all of us. What we would like for you to do is bring something or be prepared to tell something about a talent you have other than quilting!  Some of our members sew garments, some paint, some garden.  Please be willing to share with us.

February 9, 2010

We have booked Ann Hazelwood for the February program!  It is called 100 YEARS OF

QUILTMAKING.  All the members are asked to bring in 1 or 2 antique quilts. "I am there 45 min.

early so I can put them in chronological order as they arrive. 4 members walk around 2 quilts

at a time, as I tell about that era of quilt making. They love it as I, because they learn of their

quilt and see it with others like it from the era. I bring older pieces from the 1800s because

they generally do not show up. It can go an hour for sure, so hope it is on a short meeting day.

It is pretty fun to see what shows up.  Hope the bad weather will stay away......."
