We celebrated 29 years of fun, friendship, learning, shows and quilting.The show will feature 85-100 quilts of different sizes that feature various techniques.  There will beboh traditional and art quilts, hand appliqued and crazy quilts.  The show will include both machine and hand quilting.


 

Featuring Dawn Heese

Dawn Heese is an author, pattern and fabric designer.  She has published 5 books with KC Star.  She designs quilt patterns under the name Linen Closet Designs.  Her patterns have a vintage, folk art appeal and often feature applique in both wool and cotton.  She is also a licensed fabric designer with Henry Glass Fabrics.  Her first fabric line "Best Wishes" shipped to shops in July 2012. Dawn's work can be seen in magazines such as Quiltmania, Fons and Porter, Simply Vintage and Quilts and More.  She is also a regular contributor to Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine.  She travels nationally to present trunk shows and workshops and share her love of quilting.


 

Silent Auction

 

A Silent Auction will be held featuring various types of art work.  The silent auction wll end at 4:00pm on the day posted.  It is not necessary to be present to win the bid.

 

  


 

Gift Bazaar

 

There are a variety of items for sale in the CPQG members Bazaar; including books, patterns, quilt blocks, and other unique items which 
make nice gifts.  It's a great time to shop for Christmas.

 


 

Special Exhibit:  Guild Challenge

Using 1930's fabric, guild members will create a quilted piece no larger than 100 inches in circumference. Projects are to be turned in at, or before, the July meeting in a brown sack.



 

Food Vendor/Aviation Museum

 

Food and drink will be available for purchase. The Nicholas Beazley Aviation  Museum board members have planned a menu for breakfast and lunch for both days.

The Nicholas Beazley aviation museum will be open for tours.  Many enjoy the Larger Than Life Stories.  Adults - $5, Children Free with adult.  The gift shop has unique souvenoirs.



OPPORTUNITY QUILT 

This year's opportunity quilt has been named "Reminiscence".  The pattern was pieced and quilted by CPQG members.  It is a Marsha McClosky pattern with a few alterations.

Reminiscence back, most of you can remember these fabrics in clothes, etc.  Tickets are available at several venues around the area preceding the show and at the show.  The winner will be drawn at the close of the show and need not be present to win.
